Wikipedia Article

In my Wikipedia article I chose to write about the private dorm in Madison that does not get talked about much when referring to dormitories in Madison. The article is about Statesider which is the dorm that I lived in Freshman year. I discussed the different things Statesider offers including ammenities and other features. I am hoping that I posted the Wikipedia article in the right place so I am going to meet with the teacher after class to see if this is correct but until then here is article and the link:

If you have, or plan to post this on Wikipedia, it could use some work first or it'll get deleted.

First of all, you need to lose the promotional tone of phrases like "nice place to hang out" or "great intimate environment". Not only are these uninformative, but they aren't in line with Wikipedia's policy of neutral point of view. Instead of saying how Statesider "offers" each and every item, why not sum up the elements in a single sentence along the lines of "Statesider's facilities include […]"

Second, you need to establish notability. How is Statesider special? Is there anything that truly distinguishes it from any of the thousands of dormitory environments worldwide? If you can't address this issue, the article shouldn't exist. Good proof that it exists and is notable might be found in most third-party media; in particular, check the historical news. The source you've provided at the bottom is insufficient and inappropriate because it is self-published: it should be used for supporting information at most.

The writing could use a little touching up (such as not starting every sentence with "Statesider […]" and using proper spelling and grammar), but those are side issues: other Wikipedians can correct that if the article is eventually posted.

I hope this constructive criticism helps. :)
